Online leadership workshops for girls aged 16-18
Inspiring Women
2021
The Inspiring Women Project is a non-profit programme that comprises a series of online workshops for young women aged 16-18 in China.
The project promotes leadership skills in young women while also supporting the charitable work of Educating Girls of Rural China, an organisation that empowers women in rural regions of Western China to escape the cycle of poverty through education.
This six-week online programme features 90 minute workshops each week which are delivered by women in leadership positions representing a range of industries.
They share their personal and professional experiences and provide expert guidance to help participants develop their own leadership skills for the future.
Working with like-minded peers, you will collaborate to complete a series of activities which develop your leadership skills. Each activity seeks a solution-focused approach to a social problem, such as gender equality, that is present in our current society.
Each week explores a different industry sector and presents a fresh opportunity to explore your power to enact social change, with prizes awarded to the most convincing and creative teams.
100% of each programme fee is donated to charity with 80% donated to Educating Girls of Rural China, and 20% donated to additional charities that provide teaching and learning resources, including building schools, in rural communities in China.
